ABROLHOS OCTOPUS
The most tender, best-tasting octopus in the world.
Unique to the clean blue ocean off the coast of Western Australia, the Western Rock Octopus lives on a diet rich in lobsters, crabs and scallops. This gives it a naturally tender texture and superior taste, making it easier to prepare and turn into delicious dishes. We like to think of it as the Wagyu of octopus. So it’s no surprise leading chefs around the world regard it as the best they’ve tasted.
We catch our product in the pristine waters off the Abrolhos Islands, where it’s quickly brought to our processing facility, ensuring the highest quality and freshness. Here, they are blast-frozen raw, with no additives, in 1kg or 15kg packs of tentacles. Abrolhos Octopus now also comes cooked and packed as medallions or tentacles for instant chef-quality dishes. All our products are ready to be shipped worldwide.
Maintaining the balance of our environment is key to preserving the quality of our catch. To make sure our impact is as environmentally responsible as possible, we use a more advanced trap that ensures no bycatch, ghost fishing or harm to the animals. This is why our fishery is certified sustainable by the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council).
