SILIKAL® FishTank System

The SILIKAL® FishTank System will be the special focus of this year's exhibition presentation. The system, which has already proved itself in practice, is a smooth, fast-curing methyl methacrylate coating for vertical and horizontal surfaces, e.g. for the insides of fish tanks. It provides a crack-bridging membrane and a smooth top coat with good abrasion resistance. Also important for the practical requirements of fish keeping: the surface is extremely easy to clean. The coating has good resistance to UV light and to many chemicals and also has excellent resistance to ageing and weathering. The SILIKAL® FishTank system can be installed on a variety of substrates. Its short curing time also makes it suitable for many projects, for new installations and for extensions and renovations. Full mechanical and chemical resistance is achieved just one hour after application of the last layer. The system can be used indoors and outdoors. What applies to the SILIKAL® FishTank system also applies to SILIKAL floor coating systems: rapid installation, hygienic, resilient surface and uncomplicated cleaning. The floor coatings are also resistant to many alkalis, salts, oils and fats. Also important: individually adjustable slip resistance levels ensure the necessary slip resistance on damp or wet floor surfaces. Another decisive factor for the fish industry is the fact that SILIKAL reactive resin floor coatings are proven to be suitable for food processing. The latest certificates and verifications, such as HACCP International and Halal, and the recommendation of the German Federal Association of Food Inspectors underline the properties of Silikal floor coatings.
