FLAKE ICE PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

At Friostar, we design and manufacture high-efficiency, continuous production ice plants that operate without the need for defrosting. This ensures that 100% of the incoming water is converted into ice, maximizing efficiency and eliminating waste. The final product can be supplied in different forms. Granular ice, irregular in shape and approximately 10x5x10 mm in size, is primarily used for preparing ice beds. Drawn granular ice, with less than 10% residual water, is mainly intended for the Ho.Re.Ca. sector. Flat flake ice, subcooled to -7 °C, is especially suitable for the fishery industry. Our systems can also be installed inside 20′ or 40′ ISO containers, offering important advantages. They are delivered ready to use and require only connection to the water and electrical systems. Each unit is fully pre-tested before delivery and does not require additional construction work. The containerized solutions are easy to transport and reposition, can be installed next to storage cells, and may be equipped with a dedicated water tank and generator.
