At Seafood Expo Global 2026 we connect you with suitable producers of sustainable seafood from the IPD programme.
IPD – the initiative for import promotion in Germany – opens up new attractive supply sources in selected developing and emerging countries for European importers and arranges direct contact with carefully evaluated producers.
IPD enables small and medium-sized companies in partner countries to gain access to the European market and supports them in establishing sustainable trade relations. The aim is to integrate the partner countries into global trade and thus contribute to sustainable economic development in these countries.
All the companies we identify for you go through a complex screening process – high sustainability standards are particularly important to us here. We therefore look for certifica-tions such as MSC, ASC, Naturland or GlobalG.A.P. or participation in a fishery / aquaculture improvement project (AIP/FIP) when selecting our producers.
We prepare them for the European market and guarantee that they meet all the requirements of the most important European standards for sustainable production and high food safety – with the support of IPD you will be quick and certain to find reliable exporters.
IPD is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
